MAXIMISE YOUR POWERPLAY GOLF® REVENUES
Golf Ball Sales: Retail special packs of PowerPlay Golf® balls. Speak to your local PowerPlay Golf®
Partner for details, or contact the PowerPlay Golf® Events Office (see back cover).
Better Golf Day yields: Using PowerPlay Golf® as an addition to your normal golf day package adds an
extra 9 holes’ revenue, and 1 or 2 more meals, to your regular 18 hole golf day package.
Increased green fees: Power Venues and Super Venues (see page 13) derive extra green revenue from ‘walk in’ PowerPlay GolfersTM. Also, play your PowerPlay Golf® Official Events as ‘open events’, to gain
extra green fee income from local PowerPlay GolfersTM.
Extend your Tee Sheet: PowerPlay Golf® offers the complete 9-hole golf experience, enabling golf clubs
to offer meaningful start times later in the day.
Lower member attrition rate: Lack of time to play is a major cause of member attrition rates. PowerPlay
Golf® enables golfers to derive more value from their club membership, if they face time pressures when
they play golf.
A new format for Society, Corporate and Golf Organisers Days: PowerPlay Golf® is a major new
product for society and corporate golf. It will attract new business to your golf club, and adds variety and
excitement to golf days. Take this genuine example from a golf club in the south of England:
A SUCCESSFUL POWERPLAY GOLF DAY
(April 2008 email from a golf club manager)
“Yesterday’s Powerplay Golf event was a great success. First, we had 56 participants in the actual
competition, which raised £1120. Second, a group of 15 came in with a very late entry, and as all tee times
had been allocated, they converted into a society booking worth £585. And third, from the day we got a
couple of big society bookings worth £4.2k. So all in all, the day proved to be worth just short of £6K.
For most of the participants it was their first PowerPlay experience, but absolutely all of them raved about
it! Everyone wanted me to make sure they got an invitation to the next one, and many enquired about
PowerPlay Golf for their own society days.”

i) SUPER VENUES
PowerPlay Golf® always available
Contact your national PowerPlay Golf® Partner or representative for more details
A PowerPlay Golf® ‘Super Venue’ offers walk-in PowerPlay Golf® on a permanent basis, throughout the year.
‘Super Venues’ will attract a large percentage of casual PowerPlay Golf® green fees play in their local area.
The website at www.powerplay-golf.com enables first-time and casual PowerPlay GolfersTM to find their
local ‘Super Venues’, where they are always guaranteed to be able to play the game. Often, a golf club will
become a ‘Super Venue’ by allocating its short course, or 9-hole course, to full-time PowerPlay Golf®
whilst leaving its 18-hole course for special events only.
ii) POWER VENUES
PowerPlay Golf® available at regular set times during the week
Contact your national PowerPlay Golf® Partner or representative for more details
A PowerPlay Golf® ‘Power Venue’ offers PowerPlay Golf® at fixed or regular times, which golfers can view
on www.powerplay-golf.com.
For example, set your course up for PowerPlay Golf® every Wednesday morning, or Sunday afternoon.
Notify PowerPlay Golf® of this fact, and we will promote you as a ‘Power Venue’ on the website, along
with promoting your available times. This enables your golf club to attract walk-in PowerPlay Golf®
customers on a regular basis, without having to commit to permanent ‘Super Venue’ status.
Over time, the majority of PowerPlay Golf® played will be social or casual golf between friends.
Super Venues and Power Venues will benefit most from this.
